Plain Language Description: Sharon
The Automates team at the Amplify Care has introduced a cloud-based robotic process automation solution or “bot” to support seamless communication between care providers and care pathways across the healthcare spectrum.
A bot is technology software programmed to interact with digital systems – automating business processes. Bots access healthcare applications to capture, interpret, and trigger action on manual, repetitive tasks at high speed and with great accuracy.
Our Sharon bot improves the ability of healthcare providers in different sectors to share patient information securely. Currently, Sharon enables the sharing of care plans between primary care EMRs (Electronic Medical Records) and Home and Community Care’s CHRIS (Client Health & Related Information System) through a secure online intake portal called HPG (Health Partner Gateway).
HPG and CHRIS are owned and operated by Ontario Health.
Amplify Care acts as Service Provider to Ontario Health.
When care plans are initiated or updated in either system, Sharon simultaneously synchronizes the data so that all providers in the patient’s circle of care have access to the most recent care plan in their own information system, without having to take the extra steps of logging into another platform.
