About the Repository
As part of eReferral Ontario, Ontario Health, working with Amplify Care, has established the provincial eReferral repository. eReferral data is collected by Ontario Health and used for authorized purposes, according to Ontario Health’s authority as a Prescribed Entity under the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), including to support broader health system planning.
The Benefits
Data collected for the provincial eReferral repository will:
- Inform and facilitate active load management
- Help to inform health system planning
- Enhance visibility into provincial service demand
How is the Data Collected?
- No eReferral data will flow to the Provincial Repository until Amended Agreements are signed by you and received by Amplify Care.
- For most Participants, once the Agreements are signed, no further action will be required to enable the flow of eReferral data from your Ocean site to the Repository. Some sites may be contacted directly by Amplify Care.
- There is no retrospective collection of this data (e.g., only eReferral data from the time the Amended agreements are signed will be contributed).
- No data will be collected from non-HIC participants receiving referrals.
